ABOUT US

V8 Dirt Modified Racing is fast, furious fun and more affordable than you may think. We benefit from close racing on the track and a club environment off the track that is second to none.

WHAT IS A V8 DIRT MODIFED

Evolving from hot rods of the early days into what you see on the track today. These excitement machines are powered by a naturally aspired cast iron V8 that has a maximum capacity of 361 cubic inches. They are self starting and run through a 2 speed gearbox to a quick change diff. Wheels are the same size of that on a sprint car. They only run in the anti clockwise direction. Recent class development by Dirt Modified Australia has seen the introduction of the sportsman category. These cars are powered by a controlled engine formula running a 602 cubic inch chev crate motor that is rev limited to 6,000 rpm, same engine spec rules as the Sportsman category run in the USA making it easy to direct ship a complete car from the USA to Australia. Car specifications are the same as the open class cars.
